Why we built another Web3 wallet

The last thing the world needs is “another wallet” that copies the same cluttered chrome, the same five tabs, and the same “open three other apps to finish one trade.”

We built Wyro anyway — because the product category is wrong, not because the world needed a new logo.

The problem we kept living with

Most wallets are built like toolboxes. Powerful, but fragmented:

• Swap lives in one place. Perps in another. Predictions somewhere else.
• Yield is a static APY badge you forget about.
• Your “real” money life — send, receive, fund, check what moved — is an afterthought.
• Mobile, extension, and web feel like three different products with three different mental models.

People don’t want a toolbox. They want a money app that happens to be onchain and self-custodial.

Our mission

Make onchain money feel obvious — without giving up your keys.

Wyro is a self-custodial home for:

• Trading — swaps, perps, predictions
• Earning — compare yield, route to the best rate, watch balances compound
• Moving — send, receive, onramp
• Staying close — feed and culture next to markets

And that home should exist everywhere you actually work: web, mobile, and browser extension — same wallet, same balances, same mental model.

We don’t custody your seed. We don’t pretend to be a bank. We build the surface where onchain life is clear, fast, and under your control.

Why another wallet — specifically

We didn’t start from “can we ship an extension?” We started from:

1. One home beats five tabs. If you still need a separate app for perps, another for earn, and a third for culture, the wallet failed.
2. Yield should stay awake. Rates move. Your product should notice — and help you act — not show a dead percentage.
3. Self-custody without the homework. Clear balances. Clear signatures. Same account on web, phone, and extension.
4. Daily use, not demo day. If it only feels good in a launch video, it’s not done.

That’s the bar. Not feature count for its own sake — does Wyro replace the stack you currently juggle?

Why you won’t need to look for another wallet after this

We’re not asking you to collect Wyro as wallet #7.

We’re building so that, for normal onchain life, Wyro is enough:

• Trade without leaving home
• Earn without a spreadsheet of vaults
• Move money without a separate “payments” product
• Use the same wallet on web, mobile, and extension

If something is missing, we treat that as a product bug — not a reason for you to open a competitor.

You can still use other tools. DeFi is open. But the day-to-day question should stop being “which wallet do I open for this?” and become “I’m already in Wyro.”

What we won’t do

• Hold your keys
• Hide what a transaction does
• Ship a mobile-only or extension-only island that ignores the other surfaces
• Optimize for looking like every other Web3 wallet
